Aubrey has grown up dancing at The Dance Slipper Academy, which was originally named The Dance Slipper. She started dancing at the age of 3 and still continues to dance there currently at the age of 15. While young and hyper as most toddlers are, Aubrey started off in tiny tumblers classes, where she could do all sorts of fun tricks. The following year Aubrey took a jazz class, and that was the first year she started competing. Ever since that year, Aubrey has trained in multiple styles of dance including ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and acro, all while still competing. Aubrey loves all the styles she trains in but her specialty lies in acrobatics. As of this year, 2022, Aubrey was asked to join Garet&Co. as a student member. So far during her time in the company Aubrey has performed in the piece entitled "Big God" choreographed by Garet Wierdsma, for the Young Choreographers Festival. She is grateful for the wonderful experiences that Garet&Co. has given her and can't wait for the new season. Aubrey's goals are to be the best version of herself she can be, whether that be in dance or in her general life. She wishes to envelop herself in the art of dance that she's known all her life and use it to be more creative and carefree.

Ava Pasquantonio
Student Member
Ava Pasquantonio was born in Virginia, raised in Colorado, and moved to Connecticut as a 5-year-old. She found this background to be the origin of her interest in movement, as dancing had completely sparked when joining the Dance Slipper, a small-town studio, at this age. Not even a day into the recreational classes was she moved to the competition team, where she met some of her closest friends and supporters. Ever since receiving a solo at 10, Ava has placed in the overalls a multitude of times and continued to expand her knowledge of the arts from her older mentors. Ava is honored to be one of the youngest members of Garet&Co, and consequently gained insight from her fellow members about the quality of dance. Ava has performed with Garet&Co in “and sometimes i wish” at Emerging Artist Theatre and in “Big God” at Young Choreographers Festival.
